We are super excited to have our grade school and kindergarten children out of on vacation for the next few weeks. We have lots of fun activities planned. Caroline's Creations will come to visit. The children will have the opportunity to make gingerbread houses and cookie jars. We will also visit Blackbeards and Cal Skate during the winter break not to mention all of the other fun activities we have planned for the children. Don't forget about our iPods, video games and computers for the children to enjoy. It's going to be a fun winter break for all of our children. The children had the opportunity to learn about Owls this week. The curriculum included a study of their habitat and what owls eat. It was very interesting indeed. Fresno Wild Life and Rehabilitation will come to our school to expand on this weeks curriculum. We are very excited to have them join us.

Mark your calendars because all Preschool Grandparents are invited to breakfast on Thursday September 9th at 9 am. We are serving pancakes, sausage and juice. This will definitely be an event to remember. So come in and make memories with your grand children. We will post pictures later in the week of this fantastic event. 
 

Smiling, Self Image Week for Preschool

Smiling and self image is a very important part of anyone's life. Having a good self image is a first step to success for everyone including children. Our theme this week, September 6th through September 10th, will be Smiling and Self Image. We will discuss school and new friends with a focus on making our friends feel welcomed and loved. We will used hands on activities through out the week  which will include mirrors so the children can look at themselves smiling. We will also introduce the letter "A" and encourage the children to bring an item from home that starts with "A".  We will use these items to fill our Alphabet Jar to further enhance the children's learning experience. The children will also have a Teddy Bear parade to show off there favorite stuffed animal from home. I know that this is going to be a very fun week for all of our children. 

School Bus Safety Week

 The Preschool curriculum theme for the week of August 30th through September 3rd is School Bus Safety. The children will have an opportunity to learn about safety rules while riding the school bus and what an important job the bus driver has to insure the safety of all passengers. In addition to bus safety our curriculum will also focus on the letter "M" and the number "0". All of these concepts will be incorporated in the hands on activities the children will be doing during class time.

Friendship

 Our Preschoolers were quite busy this week as they celebrated the meaning of Friendship. We welcomed our old friends back from summer break as well as welcoming new friends to Kiddie Kountry.  A friendship banner was made as well as  friendship wreaths, and friendship chains. The new school year will be filled with new friends and new begging's, the kids are looking forward to a great year. 

First day of school!

Today was the first day of school for Fresno Unified. I am happy to say that everything went very smoothly. The children all made it safely to and from school. They started off the day with a hot breakfast cooked by our fabulous cooker. Then we boarded the bus heading toward Viking and Vinland. Just a friendly reminder that all grade school children should be to the center by 7:15 AM if they would like to enjoy our breakfast. The afternoon was great, all of the children jumped a board the bus to head back to the center so they could enjoy our afternoon activities with a wholesome snack. 

Bubble Experimenting

The grade school children took the visit from the bubble guy a step further this week by experimenting with bubble themselves. They created their own wands and found new ways to make bubbles! Our little scientist were hard at work with this funtastic experiment.

Bounce House Mania

The children had a fantastic time today playing in the bounce house they won during the recent cake decorating contest. The bounce house included a slide with water misters to cool the children off as they bounce away. It turned out to be a fun filled day for everyone.

BMX Show

What an exciting day for our Grade School students! Today they took their first field trip of the summer and headed over to WoodWard Park, where they watched a thrilling BMX show. Our kids came back with such excitement, lets just say they will be asking Santa for bikes this year. Check out our photo gallery for pictures on today's trip.

Summer Blast

Summer Blast has just started for our Grade School students and they couldn't be more fired up about it! The first field trip of the summer is this Thursday, where they will watch an awesome BMX show. In the mean time our girls are brainstorming for new thoughts for the annual Kids Kare Talent and Cheer competition. Go Kountry!!

Pre-K Summer Blast is in full effect with tons of summer activities, water play, and exciting themed Fridays. Swimming has officially started and today our kids had a water war with our staff, seems like the kids had a game plan because the teachers were completely soaked!

What a busy week for our Grade School students, as they clean out their desks, sign yearbooks, and say farewell to another school year. In the mean time our teachers are preparing for a fun filled summer, with activities starting next week. As we say goodbye to books and tests, we welcome Summer Blast.
